So I hope no one that I plan to give one of these bowls to as a Christmas gift is reading this...
Here is a SUPER EASY way to re-use old vinyl records... I got records at a thrift store for a few bucks a stack.
Step one: Preheat the oven to 200 Degrees F
Step two: Put a tall tin can (I used a spaghetti sauce can) on a cookie sheet, and center a record over the can.
Step three: Bake for 3 minutes
Step four: Transfer the softened record into a large bowl (you can carefully use your hands, it's not TOO hot) and shape it as you like. It will harden fast, so be swift about it. If you don't like how it turns out, put it back on the can in the oven for a few minutes and try again.

That is really cool! And I still hope I am getting one (or more) for Christmas!
